C.A.T: Camera-Aided Torch

It is designed as a working torch, so as not to create or add to a duress situation, it initially appears inert.

• It contains a high resolution semi covert colour camera, microphone and an internal solid-state audio and live video recorder. It has a 3G High-Speed data link, that upon activating the discreet Panic Switch will alert a 24/7, BS 8418 Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC):
• The ARC will receive live fast frame rate (H264 compressed) video and audio from the CAT as well as GPS satellite positioning information (optional).
• The ARC can watch, listen and open a 2-way audio session. The has an integrated loudspeaker and an amplifier system – enabling the ARC to give a powerful message to desist, with the element of surprise.
• The ARC can also remotely turn on the integrated ultra-power bright white LED to illuminate the scene – the CAT see in the dark!
• The ARC can then take the appropriate action, already having a secure copy of the duress video and audio – maintaining a live link throughout the event, supporting the emergency response.
